Interior designer / CAD technician

Job summary:

The incumbent of this multifunctional position must perform the following tasks in collaboration with the sales team:

  • Carry out technical drawings on AutoCad;
  • Research products and find functional and optimized layout solutions;
  • Update the material library on a regular basis (order samples, classification, etc.);
  • Color renderings on GIZA or SketchUp;
  • Meet regularly with sales representatives to discuss projects, layout plans and proposed solutions;
  • Making selections of colors and materials needed;
  • Visit the clients from time to time to take a measurement report, take an inventory or for any other need related to the project;
  • Other related tasks related to expertise field.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years or more of relevant experience related to the field of employment;
  • DEC in interior design or DEP in interior design and visual presentation or any other equivalent training completed;
  • Fluency in oral and written French and English an asset;
  • Ease of communicating ideas;
  • Excellent mastery in AutoCad, SketchUp or GIZA software and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook);
  • Enjoy working in a team;
  • Ability to visualize a functional space and to combine colors.

Business development (representative):

The person sought must assist the team in the search for new clients. It is essential to be comfortable in interpersonal relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.

Main responsibilities:

  • Make contact with potential customers
  • Develop submissions according to customer needs
  • Close sales after submitting bids
  • Ensure the follow-up of projects throughout the implementation with the various stakeholders (customers - suppliers - installers)
  • Maintain client files and CRM software
  • Other related tasks

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Excellent level of French (English an asset)
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Sales and customer service skills
  • Ability with information in general
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Be able to work well in a team and manage your time well
  • Can demonstrate autonomy and take initiative
  • Good level of personal organization
  • Open to criticism
